So the Gold Plates are Really Copper? Still to heavy to run three miles with away from attackers

Joseph Smith's mother, Lucy Mack Smith, remembered the day this way: "The plates were secreted about three miles from home... Joseph, on coming to them, took them from their secret place, and, wrapping them in his linen frock, placed them under his arm and started for home." After proceeding a short distance, he thought it would be more safe to leave the road and go through the woods. Traveling some distance after he left the road, he came to a large windfall, and as he was jumping over a log, a man sprang up from behind it, and gave him a heavy blow with a gun. Joseph turned around and knocked him down, then ran at the top of his speed. About half a mile further he was attacked again in the same manner as before; he knocked this man down in like manner as the former, and ran on again; and before he reached home he was assaulted the third time. In striking the last one he dislocated his thumb, which, however, he did not notice until he came within sight of the house, when he threw himself down in the corner of the fence in order to recover his breath. As soon as he was able, he arose and came to the house. lie was still altogether speechless from fright and the fatigue of running" (History of Joseph Smith by His Mother, Lucy Smith, pp.107-108). http://www.mrm.org/topics/book-mormon/how-heavy-were-those-gold-plates

Cinder-ellie ~ For my King this glass shoe fits

Have you ever wondered what it might be like to meet royalty? To look over in admiration as you watch her expressions and wonder what she will say? How delicate and effortless would her gestures be? What jewelry did she chose to adorn her fair silky skin with? Is the fragrance you smell rare myrh? I had this amazing dream that has changed my life and words poured into this woman's shattered heart. I had this dream shortly after my husband filed for divorce. It was a dream about a King who extended his scepter to me ...requesting that I come into his presence. Here I was in my own little corner in my own little place once again confronted with the void. Confronted with this empty room. Confronted with why I was alone and why I felt I could not move on. These walls that suggest home ...a quietness that was quick to remind me when I look through the veil of darkness my eyelids provide and listen to the stillness of this home ...the betrayal and neglect of a man and why I was left with my own thoughts. Why I was left with my own strength? Left to determine my reality that cannot be compared to the dreams I hold on tightly to... in the deepest part of me. I am locked away out of sight of anyone who would elevate me, who would defend me, who would rescue me. Little girls know about Cinderella about her breathtaking beauty, about Prince charming, about a magical destiny called Happily ever after. And inside every woman is a little girl who secretly aches for a fairy Godmother to wave a wand and transform her into the princess she has always longed to be. To make her beautiful, captivating, Adored. But we've learned the fairy tales are not real, and so we squelch our precious gifts of longing and desire. We stop dressing up or anticipating the ball, deciding its better to stay home than to hope again and be disappointed. Besides, being asked to dance is not that important anyway. Oh but it is! In the book Do you think I'm beautiful? A simple invitation that beckons you to awaken your passion and glimpse your deepest desires. To voice your longing to be loved with an ultimate love. And to fall into the embrace of the One who asks you to dance. I came home that night feeling and believing myself to be royalty. I went to the back of the closet and pulled out a dress I spent a fortune on for a fancy fund raiser years ago. Let's just say this dress is fit for a queen. It is a form fitting golden dress that flows to the floor. I lit candles, turned on my favorite song called, I want to be your sanctuary. I dolled up my make up and pulled up my hair and danced for my God. When I stood in front of the mirror it was breath taking and not hard at all to see royalty looking back at me. I started to smile... even giggled and laughed. I even cried. I heard in my mind Psalm 45. I looked it up and as I read I could barely see because the tears kept coming ...and so I end my short story with the scriptures Psalm 45 in part ... My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.clothe yourself with splendor and majesty. In your majesty ride forth victoriously in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness; let your right hand display awesome deeds. Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces adorned with ivory and the music of the strings makes you glad. The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. All glorious is the princess within her chamber ; her gown is interwoven with gold. In embroidered garments she is led to the king; For my King this glass shoe fits! Making this video was a small attempt to express my journey and growth as I fell in love with the King of Kings and this video is myself expressing my heart as I grasp at comprehending the glory of the man, Christ Jesus. The love of the fathers heart for the bride of Christ is the focus. That Gods love is developing us. An emerging joy centered in the beauty of the Lord Jesus has given rise to a fresh passion to know Him deeply, and to see His bride come to her place of identity and destiny in the knowledge of the Bridegroom. This was in a time where I got to it's fullest mesure the meaning of waiting for the one in whom God chose for me. Others have come and they would like to have what it is that was meant for "The One." In this journey of waiting I have cried and screamed at times. I have begged and had childlike tantrums. Yet my heart of hearts is still known by me. My cry to God is to guard the purposes of my heart and the Golden purpose of our celebration where soon He and I will both be with the face to face with the King of Kings

The Dixie Hummingbirds - Short History

The Dixie Hummingbirds are an influential American gospel music group, spanning more than 75 years from the jubilee quartet style of the 1920s, through the "hard gospel" quartet style of Gospel's golden age in the 1940s and 1950s, to the eclectic pop-tinged songs of the present era. Formed in 1928 in Greenville, South Carolina, by James B. Davis and his classmates, they sang in local churches until they finished school, then started touring throughout the South. Lead singer Ira Tucker joined the group in 1938 at age 13, and they signed with Decca Records. In addition to his formidable vocal skills, Tucker introduced the energetic showmanship - running through the aisles, jumping off stage, falling to his knees in prayer - copied by many quartets that followed. Tucker also took the lead in the stylistic innovations adopted by the group, combining gospel shouting and subtle melismas with the syncopated delivery made popular by The Golden Gate Quartet, as well as adventuresome harmonies, which the group called "trickeration", in which Paul Owens or another member of the group would pick up a note just as Tucker left off. The group relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the 1940s. During the years, a number of talented singers starred in the group--their bass, William Bobo, baritone Beachy Thompson, James Walker, who replaced Owens, and Claude Jeter, who went on to star for The Swan Silvertones. The Hummingbirds added a guitarist, Howard Carroll, who added even more propulsive force to their high-flying vocals. The Hummingbirds absorbed much from other artists as well, performing with Lester Young in the 1940s and sharing Django Reinhardt records with B.B. King in the 1950s. Tucker and the Hummingbirds inspired a number of imitators, such as Jackie Wilson and James Brown, who adapted the shouting style and enthusiastic showmanship of hard gospel to secular themes to help create soul music in the 1960s. The group recorded for a number of different labels over the years, while touring the circuit of black churches and gospel extravaganzas. They occasionally came to the attention of white listeners--at Café Society, the integrated New York nightclub favored by jazz cognoscenti, in 1942, at the Newport Folk Festival in 1966, and as backup for Paul Simon on the 1973 single "Loves Me Like A Rock". For a long time, the group was signed to Don Robey's Peacock Records, based in Houston, Texas. In 1973, Robey sold Peacock to ABC Records, which released a cover of the Paul Simon song, "Loves Me Like A Rock", produced by Walter "Kandor" Kahn and the group's lead vocalist Ira Tucker, which reached #72 on Billboard Magazine's Top 100 R&B Singles chart. The single also won a Grammy for "Best Soul Gospel Performance". Kahn and Tucker produced an album for ABC entitled "We Love You Like A Rock". The album contained Stevie Wonder's "Jesus Children", on which he played keyboards. At that time, the group consisted of five vocalists: Ira Tucker Sr., James Davis, Beachy Thompson, James Walker and William Bobo. Howard Carroll was the group's guitarist. The group now consists of Ira Tucker (lead vocals), William Bright (vocals), Carlton Lewis, III (vocals), Cornell Mcknight (bass), Torrey Nettles (drums/vocals), and Lyndon Baines Jones (guitar & vocals). In 2003, the Hummingbirds were the subject of an award-winning book about their 75-year career span, Great God A'Mighty! The Dixie Hummingbirds: Celebrating the Rise of Soul Gospel Music [Oxford University Press] by Jerry Zolten. The book was favorably reviewed in The New York Times. 2-26-2003. In February 2008, the first feature length documentary/concert film featuring the life and history of the Dixie Hummingbirds was released in commemoration of their extraordinary eighty years as performers. The Dixie Hummingbirds: Eighty Years Young has been shown on the Gospel Music Channel and has played at numerous film festivals. Produced and directed by award-winning filmmaker Jeff Scheftel, and Executive produced by University of Hawaii Musicologist Jay Junker, the film is now available on DVD, featuring extensive interviews with Ira Tucker, Sr., archival footage, and following the current group as they perform in numerous venues, and rehearse under Mr. Tucker's spirited guidance, in their hometown of Philadelphia, and across the vast landscape of America. Ira Tucker, Sr passed away, due to complications from heart disease, on the morning of June 24, 2008 at the age of 83. The group will continue on, thereby preserving the rich legacy left by Tucker, James Davis, William Bobo, Beachey Thompson, James Walker, Howard Carroll, et al. The group will be fulfilling concert obligations in both Brooklyn and Vancouver the week of June 23rd, and will continue onward with possible new additions to their personnel down the road.

Ken Campbell - The Illuminatus Trilogy @Synergy Project

The Illuminatus Trilogyhttp://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=illuminatus+trilogy++&btnG=Search&meta= Adapted and read/performed by the late great by Ken Campbell http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=ken+campbell&btnG=Search&meta= @ The Synergy Project ( Iluminopolis) 2008 robert anton wilson http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=robert+anton+wilson&btnG=Google+Search&meta= The Illuminatus! Trilogy is a series of three novels written by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson purportedly between 1969 and 1971[1], and first published in 1975. The trilogy is a satirical, postmodern, science fiction-influenced adventure story; a drug-, sex- and magic-laden trek through a number of conspiracy theories, both historical and imaginary, which hinge around the authors' version of the Illuminati. The narrative often switches between third and first person perspectives and jumps around in time. It is thematically dense, covering topics like counterculture, numerology and Discordianism. The trilogy comprises the books The Eye in the Pyramid, The Golden Apple and Leviathan. They were first published starting in September 1975, as three separate volumes, and in 1984 as an omnibus; they are now more commonly reprinted in the latter form. The trilogy won the Prometheus Hall of Fame Award, designed to honor classic libertarian fiction, in 1986.[2] The authors went on to create several works, both fiction and nonfiction, that further discussed the themes of the trilogy, but no direct sequels were produced. Illuminatus! has been adapted for the stage, and has influenced several modern writers, musicians and games-makers. The popularity of the word "fnord" and the 23 enigma can both be attributed to the trilogy. It remains a seminal work of conspiracy fiction, predating Foucault's Pendulum and The Da Vinci Code by decades.
