The summers of my childhood I spent on the island to the left. Nowadays overexploited and I prefer the serenity and solarity of not crowded beaches and shores and there are luckily plenty of them by this lake and all the other 1000s and 1000s. Miles and miles along the coast of the sea too!

For 8 years, I've been saving up to take a very special trip. I could never really afford to go... but I could afford to set aside a dollar here, a dollar there... just a dollar at a time, I've been saving, buying dollar coins and dropping them into a jar for safe keeping.

Finally -- FINALLY! -- its time!

FINALLY, I have enough cash, and enough banked comp time, to go!

I'm going to spend THREE WEEKS driving around Ireland, taking photos and thoroughly enjoying myself -- 8 years in the making!

Sorry for the photo dumps over the last week -- I needed to clear my drive to make room for the photos that I'm going to be getting over the next three weeks!
