Their debut album attracted good reviews and a cult following with its mix of assured dual lead guitars by Duane Allman and Dickey Betts, soulful singing by Gregg Allman, and a rhythm section that was nearly as busy as the lead instruments, between Oakley's rock-hard bass and the dual drumming of Trucks and Johanson. Their second album, 1970's Idlewild South, recorded at Capricorn's studios in Macon, GA, was produced by Tom Dowd, who had previously recorded Cream. This was a magical combination -- Dowd was completely attuned to the group's sound and goals, and Idlewild South broadened that sound, adding a softer acoustic texture to their music and introducing Betts as a composer (including the original studio version of "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed," an instrumental tribute to Miles Davis that would become a highlight of their shows, in many different forms, for the next 30 years). It also had a Gregg Allman number, "Midnight Rider," which became one of the band's more widely covered originals and the composer's signature tune. By this time, the band's concerts were becoming legendary for the extraordinarily complex yet coherent interplay between the two guitarists and Gregg Allman's keyboards, sometimes in jams of 40 minutes or more to a single song without wasting a note. The band had been midway through work on its next album, Eat a Peach, which they completed as a five-piece, with Dickey Betts playing all of the lead and slide guitar parts. Their second double album in a row became another instant classic, and their first album to reach the Top Ten, peaking at number five. Despite having completed Eat a Peach, the group was intact in name only. Rather than try to replace Duane Allman as a guitarist, they contrived to add a second solo instrument in the form of a piano, played by Chuck Leavell. Jan. 15, 1949-d. Jan. 25, 1983) was recruited on bass, and the new lineup continued the group's concert activities, as well as eventually finishing the band's next album, Brothers and Sisters. which was released on August 1, 1973. During the extended gap in releases following Eat a Peach, Atco reissued The Allman Brothers Band and Idlewild South together as the double LP Beginnings, which charted higher than either individual release. Brothers and Sisters marked the beginning of a new era. The album had a more easygoing and freewheeling sound, less bluesy and more country-ish. This was partly a result of Capricorn losing the services of Tom Dowd, who had produced their three previous albums. Additionally, Dickey Betts' full emergence as a songwriter and singer as well as the group's only guitarist, playing all of the lead and slide parts, altered the balance of the group's sound, pushing forth his distinct interest in country-rock. Betts also became the reluctant de facto leader of the band during this period, not from a desire for control as much as because he was the only one with the comparative stability and creative input to take on the responsibility.

He pushed his tounge in my mouth and bit my lips, they stung..they started to bleed. I knew Roshon and Zac couldn't do anything. They would get more hurt then me. Cody's friends were ten times bigger then them. I looked for anyway to get away from him.. I tried to turn but he just pressed my body harder against his, he grabbed my butt and squeezed it as hard as he could..Why did I get myself into this? I knew if I couldn't do anything this would end as rape..That's when out of the corner of my eye a boy in a blue band uniform came out of no where and punched Cody in the face. He slammed him against the bleachers throwing me towards the ground in such a force, I was caught offguard when Roshon caught me and Zac joined the brawl. Joe punched Cody in the face several times before Cody came to his senses and knocked Joe to the ground. Blood spit from his nose but he got up anyway and landed a blow on Cody's mouth. Good..Mess up those teeth..Zac came around and kneed Cody in the stomach leaving him moaning. Joe landed one more punch and it was all over. He laid, on the ground...A bloody mess. Not dead, Not concsious. I closed my eyes and leaned against Roshon. He rubbed my back when I heard Joe's voice. Joe: Dems, Are you ok? Me: Joe?... Joe: Yes..It's me... Level 37 Duo SM Cathedral

Level 37 Cathedral Duo Discipline Priest & Protection Pally Just my wife and I duo'ing Through SM Cathedral when the mobs were Yellow/Orange (3/3 Movies of us Duo'ing SM) Great time without random people messing up pulls etc. (Not that we don't mess up our own pulls enough :P ) If your interested in our specs, to bad :P We are not wearing "uber purple" auctioned items, 75% of our gear is quested gear, the other 25% is outdated auctioned or instance items (Arwell's level 20 Arugal robe, and my level 19 Scoundrels Boots for an example) The only thing we spent any more than a single gold on, was my Blade of the basilisk (With crusader) Level 32 sword, bought for 25 gold This was our first and only run through SM and we did it without any help other than ourselves, Level 42 SM quest completed at 37! Quotes of what we said: Opening scene: Pretty much what I said above Through the "trash mobs": "Me and Arwell laughing about how she finally had to drink her second water, and joking about the dual abbot pull :P" "Okay we're speeding up the pace now" (As arwell starts to cast more often and I get reckless with pulling while she's drinking, since we suddenly realized if we didn't speed up the inner Cathedral would start respawning) (Some notes about our Run) All in all I believe Arwell drank around 5-6 waters, and I myself only drank one to regain mana before the final fight Heals/priest issues: Arwell used inner focus, for the first time EVER in cathedral as we started picking up the pace, and then when she was mind controlled ;) And During the Herod fight, she only actually -healed- ONCE! Once again, a TON of fun just duo'ing it....no breaks, no "bad pulls" and no deaths...Hooray, SM Totally finished in a single night :D, No need for waiting for group memebers or anything...
