S1ckH4nds' 500th video! Working Man (Vault Edition), Expert Bass, FC, 5 Gold Stars (5G*)

"Working Man (Vault Edition)" by Rush, released as a standalone DLC single on 7/8/2008, and played by S1ckH4nds in the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band 2 on Expert Bass in Local Band Quickplay mode on 11/27/2008. Final score was 309,568 with a 1568 note streak and 100% of notes hit as a full combo for five gold stars. This is my first FC of the song, the current first place score on Rock Band 2 for Xbox 360, second place overall when all leaderboards are combined between both platforms and both games, and if Scorehero is to be believed, only the third FC of this song to date after MephistoJak's 312K run and Mithin's 308K run. Wanted to make the 500th video on this channel a special one! This took lots of repeated tries to nail, especially after being used to playing the cover version that doesn't have as many little flourishes that Geddy throws in, and is charted considerably differently in a lot of spots. I think there's quite a bit of room for improvement here, I made a few mistakes with my path towards the end of the song that cost me a huge amount of points (especially at the portion that's all blue strums and blue-orange chords). Still, holy fuck, yay, FCed a classic crazy-ass Geddy Lee bassline! :D Thanks to everyone who's subscribed and left comments on my vids over the past year, on both this account and my unceremoniously deleted old ones as well. Obviously that means this isn't my 500th video overall (and definitely not when you factor in my old poker clips as "SickHands" - no numbers), but it definitely says something about the power of rhythm games. Thanks for checking out these bass vids, and as long as Harmonix and Neversoft keep pumpin' em out, I'll keep puttin' em up! (Not so sure about Konami though, not after Rock Revolution...) :D

Please read the description for video information. Be sure to watch in High Quality. Trust me it looks ALOT better. Click the quality text on the bottom-right of the video. I like this song, the Vocals can be challenging, I almost yieled a strong in the intro. I think the hardest parts are the intro lines, and the talkie part in the middle. For my microphone, I am using a Logitech Vantage. It's a extremely lightweight, and sensitive mic for Rock Band. I bought it when my Rock Band mic stopped working, so I just went to Gamestop and bought this one, for about $30. I am singing with the Vocal Track down, so you can hear my voice. I know I'm not great, but I could be just showing you how to sing a certain part, by things such as pitch, and octave changes. Hope that clears some things up. My PSN is: xXNinJa. I play during the day and would be happy to do some Quickplay, or Band World Tour. I play Expert on everything, but there are still some songs that give me trouble. I have no singing experience or lessons of any sort. I just sing for the fun of it. I can do voice impersonations, and I think that helps me find certain pitches. The reason my Instrument Icon is Platinum, is because I beat the Endless Setlist 2 on Expert. You get the Gold for Hard, and Inverted (Vinyl) for Medium. You need 900 stars, and you need all the World Tour cars/vans/planes/roadies/Immortal. Enjoy.
